Empire of the Sun-
(Words and Music by Big R, Leftee, Martin Sheehan)
2005

Empire of the Sun,
Having Fun has just begun.
On a hilltop.
Non-stop Rock.
I was born on a Mountain!!
A Mountain by the sea.
Words of the Prophets,
They surrounded me.
Dreamed in the Sun,
As paradise rained on me.
Closed the Door to the past,
As my soul was freed.
Empire of the Sun,
Having Fun has just begun.
On a hilltop.
Non-stop Rock.
Empire……Empire
Setting Sun!!
Everyone………..
Everyone have some fun.
Living Life……..
The way the Lord meant to
be.
No hard work…..
Peaceful and Free.
Empire of the Sun,
Having Fun has just begun.
On a hilltop.
Non-stop Rock.
I don’t care……..
I don’t care what they say.
We’re gonna play………
Play it our way
People try ………
To Drag me down…
Got to pick myself up.
Off the ground.
Empire of the Sun,
Having Fun has just begun.
On a hilltop.
Non-stop Rock.
Notes: This song is written about the
town of Empire, Michigan where this album was recorded . The album was recorded
on the bands portable studio. For now the studio will be called Sleepy Bear
Recording Studio when it sets up shop in Empire. “Most of this album just
arrived”, say members of the band. “ A gift from the Creator”, there was little
need to interfere with the process. The Music was written by Big R…….The Lyrics
were collaboration between Leftee, Big R, and Martin Sheehan, who was session
drummer & lyricist on this album. Leftee performed the Vocals and Bass Guitar on
the track.
Use What Jah Give You (In a
Good Way)
(Words and Music by Raul)
2005

You've got to Use what Jah
give you, (In a Good Way)
You've got to Use what Jah
give you, (In a Good Way)
You've got to Use what Jah
give you, (In a Good Way)
You've got to love all the
World all around.
If he gives you good legs,
(You gotta walk on)
If Jah gives you two strong
legs, (You gotta walk on)
If he give you two good
legs, (You gotta walk on)
You've got to learn how to
choose the right road.
If he gives you two strong
arms (You gotta reach out)
If Jah give you two strong
arms (You gotta reach out)
If he give you two strong
arms (You gotta reach out)
You gotta reach out and give
them a hand.
If he give you a good heart
(You gotta love them)
If he give you a strong
heart (You gotta love them)
If he give you a good heart
(You gotta love them)
You gotta love all the
brothers of man.
You gotta use it, you can't
abuse it.
You don't want to, don't
want to lose it.
You got to feed them, You
gotta need them.
We are all the children of
Jah.
Notes: This song is very much self
explanatory if you understand Jah. (The Creator for those not familiar with Jah)
Raul wrote this song and sings the Lead Vocals on the track, as well as rhythm
guitar. Big R plays the guitar and the leads. Leftee plays the Bass Guitar
and Sings background vocals. Martin Sheehan drums on the track.
Emergency 9/11
(Words and Music by Big R, Leftee, Martin
Sheehan) 2005

Emergency 9/11,
Powerless Sheep go to
heaven.
Fahrenheit 9/11,
All the damage has not been
done.
Skyline filled with death,
Worlds tallest buildings
come to rest.
All the people cried,
How our leaders lied.
Emergency 9/11
Powerless Sheep go to
heaven.
Fahrenheit 9/11
All the damage has not been
done.
Planes Flew into the Tower,
15 minutes before the hour.
People falling from the sky.
Fire Burning far and high.
Emergency 9/11,
Powerless Sheep go to
heaven.
Fahrenheit 9/11,
All the damage has not been
done. (Jam it down now)
See the smoke on the river,
Carnage slithers through the
sky.
Devils Face in the smoke.
Innocent thousands say
good-bye.
Emergency 9/11,
Powerless Sheep go to
heaven.
Fahrenheit 9/11,
All the damage has not been
done.
Notes: This CD does have its dark
spots on it and this is by far the darkest. To the band 9/11 is a scar to never
be forgotten. Michael Moore is a home town resident. When Fahrenheit 9/11 came
out it had a profound effect on the band. This was just something the band had
to say. It is a difficult topic for sure, ThreePeace feels all the lost souls
should be remembered and not forgotten, and this is what they keep in mind each
time they perform this song. Leftee sings lead vocals, plays Bass Guitar. Big R
plays all guitars on the song, and Martin Sheehan plays the drums.
Woman is the Root of
all Evil -
(Words and Music by Leftee)
2005

Woman is the Root of all
Evil,
You don't need me to tell
you so.
Woman is the Root of all
Evil,
It's written in the Bible
don't you know.
Brought the Fruit back in
the Garden of Eden.
She Brought it again, but
I'm not eating.
Have no choice in mating
season.
But every time is an act of
treason.
Woman is the Root of all
Evil,
Look around and you'll see
its so.
Woman is the Root of all
Evil,
Bringing a dark cloud
wherever they go.
Brought the Fruit back in
the Garden of Eden.
She Brought it again, but
I'm not eating.
Have no choice in mating
season.
But every time is an act of
treason.
Woman is the Root of all
Evil,
You don't need me to tell
you so.
Woman is the Root of all
Evil,
It's written in the Bible
don't you know.
Notes: Leftee wanted to make sure
this song was understood in the context for which it was written. This song was
written in waning days of marriage that had gone bad. The anger and disgust from
the situation needed to be released. Love takes two to make, and it also takes
two to break. This song is a song about the raw emotion of a painful
relationship gone bad.......it was a release of venom to heal. Any
psychologist will tell you that it has to come out. This song was the catalyst
to promote healing. ThreePeace loves women and this isn't a hate song
about woman, as some have claimed it to be. Leftee believes this song allowed him to
excise the demon of hatred from his soul, and in essence was nothing more than
good therapy. Leftee played the rhythm guitar on the track as well as the lead and background
vocals. Big R played the Bass & Lead guitar and Martin Sheehan played the drums.
Threedom -(Music
By Big R)
2005
Notes: This is an instrumental which
originally had a rough draft of lyrics by Big R. When the band recorded the
song, Leftee & Big R concurred, "this song is great the way it is,
the guitar playing could only be minimized by a vocal track." After a few listenings everyone concurred. The song is called Threedom because A) the song
is a reggae song with the emphasis on the third beat, B) The song has two
sections. The A section is repeated three times, then the B section is repeated
three times, hence Threedom. Big R plays the Axe, Leftee plays the Bass Guitar,
Raul played the Rhythm Guitar and Martin Sheehan played the drums.
One World / One God
- (Words
and Music by Leftee) 2005

There's only one World,
There's only one God.
Religion divides us,
Makes us sing a bitter song.
God Made Man in his
likeness,
Man made God in his own.
All different peoples,
Place their Kings on the
throne.
There's one thing I'm sure
of,
One thing that I know.
God would never divide us,
Or we'd each have a World of
our own.
There's only one World,
There's only one God.
Religion divides us,
Makes us sing a bitter song.
(Oh yeah)
Look around the World today,
Can't help but notice the
truth.
Every Race divided,
wondering what to do?
This man prays to that God,
Those guys pray to theirs.
Praying to those God's,
Leaves the World in despair.
There's only one World,
There's only one God.
Religion divides us,
Makes us sing a bitter song.
(Yeah Right!)
Notes: Leftee wrote this song with
thousands of years of past war and global history. Everywhere on this planet
people are at conflict many times over Religious beliefs or ideals. This
ideology should be reconsidered by the entire planet if we are to survive.
Leftee feels the World would live in much more harmony if we could agree that
there is only One God, and many great representatives of God that were men. Most
people believe there is only one God, if we could just get together on
this, the World would be a better place. Leftee isn't holding his breath, but
hey it never hurts to have a dream. Leftee sings all the vocals, plays the bass
guitar, Big R plays the lead guitar, Raul plays the rhythm guitar and Martin
Sheehan plays the drums.
Assholes Song
-(Words
by Martin Sheehan, Music by Leftee) 2005

Assholes spew a load of
crap,
Every time they see ya.
The one thing your sure to
get,
is verbal diarrhea.
Assholes like a pile of
shit,
they both stink up the
place.
And if they get a second
chance,
They'll rub it right in your
face.
Everywhere I go,
I find an Asshole lurking.
I see that smug, shit eating
grin,
and wondering why they're
smirking.
Some say I'm an Asshole,
Although this may be true.
It sure takes one to know
one,
An Asshole just like you.
Notes: This Assholes song came out of the Air.....Martin Sheehan
pulled out a two page poetry called "Assholes" and left Leftee and Big R in
tears with laughter. It wasn't long after that, Leftee picked up and Acoustic
Guitar and within seconds, "Poof" The Assholes song arrived. The band edited the
lyrics down into a quick, hard hitting documentary. This is the most requested
song when ThreePeace plays live, what does this say about our society? The
gist of it is, at some point everyone is an Asshole........LOL Believe it or
not, Big R & Leftee both played the acoustic guitars, Big R
played the Spanish lead overdub which drives the funny bone, and Leftee sings the vocals.
Somer's Time Reggae -(Music
By Big R, Leftee, Martin Sheehan) 2005

Notes: Somers Time Reggae is about the bands Roadie / Chef
who in the course of his divorce was tormented endlessly by his wife on the
phone. The idea came to document this emotion in reggae instrumental. That
actually is Curly Chris Somers saying hello on the tune. The lunatic phone responses
are performed by Leftee. "Is that my Mother on the phone?" Thanks to Curly from
ThreePeace for being such a good sport. Leftee plays the rhythm guitar, Big R
plays the bass guitar, Martin Sheehan plays the drums.
