Austin's City Limits-
(Music By Big R, Lyrics by
Leftee) 2007

Austin's City Limits is covered with mud,
the trench is two miles deep, I just lost my
truck.
Stuck here with the ghost, Stuck here with the
ghost,
Stuck here with the ghost, He's the most.
Notes: While ThreePeace was getting ready to
record this album they played a New Years gig in Otter Lake, Michigan..... This
was a private party. After the gig, the band continued to practice at this
location for about a month in rehearsal for the album sessions. It was winter
and the driveway to the place was almost impassible. Likewise, every time they
rehearsed someone or another in the band was seeing apparitions of a ghost. So
the band was jamming this catchy riff and Leftee just started singing about the
place, this classic jam band groove was the result. Thanks to Austin for
providing the memories and the jam space. Leftee played the Drums, Vocals. Raul
on the Bass, Big R on all guitars.
War / Shine On Children -
(War by Marley, Shine On Children written by Leftee)
2007

Until the philosophy which holds one race
superior
and another inferior, is finally and
permanently discredited
and abandoned.
Everywhere is War.
Until there's no longer first class or second
class citizen
of any Nation. Until the color of mans skin is
of no more
significance unto the color of his eyes. Until
that day the
dream of lasting peace, World citizenship,
rule of international
morality, will remain but a fleeting illusion
to be pursued but
never attained.
Everywhere is War.
Shining, Shining, Shining
Shine on Children.
Jah Jah take me from the Homeland I and I.
Told me to spread the message to America yeah.
So I took the responsibility to spread the
words of Jah Jah.
Jah Jah said to "Come on spread the message".
So we'll be Shining, Shining, Shining
Shine on Children.
Notes: War is a song performed by the late great Bob Marley which has
always inspired ThreePeace, with the current World situation the band felt it
would be a good time to bring it back to the people. Leftee composed Shine On
Children after visiting Bob Marley's Mausoleum in the Parrish of Nine Miles,
Jamaica back in 1991. Leftee played the Drums, Bass Guitar, Vocals. Raul played
the percussion guitar, Big R played Rhythm and Lead Guitar.
Prince William Sound
- (Written by Leftee & Big R)
2007

Prince William Sound will never be the same,
The oil has come in the sand is stained.
Prince William Sound will never be the same.
The oil has come the land is stained.
Water has turned black, the fish are never
coming back.
The Captain he don't care, all the sea life in
despair.
The Captain he's having a snore, while the oil
will pour.
The First Mate failed the school, he forgot
the golden rule.
Prince William Sound will never be the same,
The oil has come in the sand is stained.
Prince William Sound will never be the same.
The oil has come the land is stained.
Breeding Birds must await, for the others it's
too late.
Sea Otters coated with crude, Exxon is so
rude.
Now the prices rise at the pump, the President
is a chump.
Financial Aid is never paid until it's too
late.
Prince William Sound will never be the same,
The oil has come in the sand is stained.
Prince William Sound will never be the same.
The oil has come the land is stained.
Notes: This song was written by Big R and Leftee back
in the 80's when the oil spill blanketed Prince William Sound Alaska. ThreePeace
included this song on the album as a tribute to Alaska Jahn Lysen of KUAC Radio
in Alaska. Jahn has featured ThreePeace numerous times on his Round' Midnight
Riddims Show. ThreePeace recorded this song on his behalf for the people of
Alaska, and everyone who suffered through this horrific disaster. Leftee played
the Drums, Vocals. Raul on the Bass, Big R on all guitars.
Lay My Life Down
-
(Music by Big R, Words by Leftee)
2007

The Spring arrived and the sun will shine.
We planted our seeds and our love arrived.
I dreamed of you and what did you do?
You Rocked Me, Rocked Me Baby right on
through.
The future is bright right here at the start.
Please believe I'll never break your heart.
When the Spring time storm blows in.
I'll communicate with my best friend.
When I'm feeling down, alone or blue.
I think of your love, it pulls me through.
I would lay my life down for you.
I love you more with everything we do.
Summer came and we had more fun.
Believing in each other and everything we've
done.
I dreamed of you and what did you do?
You Rocked Me, Rocked Me baby right on
through.
Thinking of now and the time we've shared,
Looking in you eyes and I know you care.
When the Summer breeze blows in,
I'll share it with my best friend.
When I'm feeling down, alone or blue.
I think of your love, it pulls me through.
I would lay my life down for you.
I love you more with everything we do.
The Fall showed up right outside my door,
The colors were blazing like never before.
I dreamed of you and what did you do?
You Rocked Me, Rocked Me baby right on
through.
Tomorrow looks bright and that's for sure.
Whatever ails me baby your the cure.
And when the leaves from the trees blow in.
I'll thank the Lord for my best friend.
When I'm feeling down, alone or blue.
I think of your love, it pulls me through.
I would lay my life down for you.
I love you more with everything we do.
Winter arrived with a blast of snow,
by the fire side our love would grow.
I dreamed of you and what did you do?
You Rocked Me, Rocked Me baby right on
through.
Life is short and I keep that in mind,
While I'm lucky enough to have another time.
When the skies of Winter blow in.
I'll cuddle up with my best friend.
When I'm feeling down, alone or blue.
I think of your love, it pulls me through.
I would lay my life down for you.
I love you more with everything we do.
Notes: Lay My Life Down is a collaboration
between Big R and Leftee. This song is about new love, and the progression of
that love though life. The seasons are used as a metaphor to describe the
different stages of a wonderful love through life. This kind of love doesn't
come around very often, the song reminds us to appreciate the ones we love and
make the most of the limited time we all share together. A song of appreciation.
Leftee played the Drums, Vocals. Raul played the Bass Guitar, Big R on all
guitars.
Fat Cats -
(Words and Music by Leftee)
2007

I woke up this morning fighting a tribal war.
Against the system, I fight it some more.
I can't understand why a man can't live,
the life he wants to live.
Why it's always interrupted by something
illegal.
I say the Fat Cats, Another Word for a Rat.
they're the Fat Cats, Yes I said they are the
Fat Cats.
Another Word for a Rat.
They're the Fat Cats, the symbol is an
Elephant.
Now the people won't put up no more,
with rotten to the core.
We've witnessed your illusions,
We'll vote for some changes.
This Democratic, Bureaucratic system has
*ucked it in our face.
They take the small man for granted,
They're just a big disgrace.
I say the Fat Cats, Another Word for a Rat.
they're the Fat Cats, Yes I said they are the
Fat Cats.
Another Word for a Rat.
They're the Fat Cats, the symbol is an
Elephant.
Notes: This song is very self explanatory, the band
feels the current political administration is destroying our great country with
oppressive greed and war. Vote for some changes!!! Leftee played the Drums,
Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Vocals. Raul percussion guitar, Big R Lead Guitar.
Let It Grow -
(Music by Big R, Words by Leftee & Big R)
2007

All the Presidents Men fly over his crop.
All the Presidents Men slash them down.
But they're never gonna stop it.
He'll just grow it again.
For the love of the Rastaman.
They're never gonna stop it.
Let It Grow.
They're never gonna stop it.
Let Him Go.
All the Presidents Men spreading their greed.
All the Presidents Men blame the weed.
But their ain't no use.
The truth must spread the land.
For the love of the Rastaman.
They're never gonna stop it.
Let It Grow.
They're never gonna stop it.
Let Him Go.
Notes: This song is a band dedication to Bob Marley.
Leftee played the Drums, Bass Guitar, Vocals. Raul Percussion Guitar, Big R
Rhythm and Lead Guitars.
Shadow People
-
( Music by Big R & Leftee, lyrics Leftee &
Joe Rynearson) 2007

Do You know a thing they call the yummies,
fun to snort, yummy in the tummy.
Super Comfy in the back of my head,
What's that on the carpet,
Well my nose has just bled.
Who is that behind your back?
Shadow Person with an axe,
Who is that in the hall,
Shadow Person just took a fall
Shadow People, Shadow People
Shadow People, Shadow People.
Do You know a thing they call the yummies,
fun to snort, yummy in the tummy.
Super Comfy in the back of my head,
What's that on the carpet,
Well my nose has just bled.
Who is that behind your back?
Shadow Person with an axe,
Who is that in the hall,
Shadow Person just took a fall.
Shadow People are all around.
When you look no one to be found.
Close the door, turn out the light.
Shadow People are now in sight.
Shadow People, Shadow People
Shadow People, Shadow People.
Do You know a thing they call the yummies,
fun to snort, yummy in the tummy.
Super Comfy in the back of my head,
What's that on the carpet,
Well my nose has just bled.
Who is that behind your back?
Shadow Person with an axe,
Who is that in the hall,
Shadow Person just took a fall.
Shadow People run this town.
Shadow People run me down.
Climb the ladder, scale the wall.
You know you can't escape them all.
Notes: This song is the true story of a
cocaine addict whose paranoia became a self destroya!! The message is to avoid
the evil demons and pitfalls of cocaine. Cocaine had so invaded this persons
life, that he began to have delusions of Shadow People. Hopefully this song can
be a motivation to avoid this horrific drug. The song reminds everyone that
eventually the drug will do you in. Leftee played the Drums, Vocals. Raul on the
Bass, Big R on Rhythm and Lead Guitars.
A Little Reggae Rock
-(Words and Music by Leftee)
2007

When the World has got you down, don't ever
stop.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
When the World has got you staring down a
barrels stock.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
The World weighs on you soul.
You've come up short of your goal.
You'll survive with belief in yourself.
Turn it up and push on through.
When the World has got you down, don't ever
stop.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
When the World has got you staring down a
barrels stock.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
Your best friends turn on you.
Now your wondering what to do?
You'll survive with belief in yourself.
Turn it up and push on through.
When the World has got you down, don't ever
stop.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
When the World has got you staring down a
barrels stock.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
Hypocrites rise to power.
But they know not the hour.
You'll survive with belief in yourself.
Turn it up and push on through.
When the World has got you down, don't ever
stop.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
When the World has got you staring down a
barrels stock.
Put on a little Reggae Rock.
Notes: If the World is your oyster, then you
will need some music as a soundtrack. There is nothing easy about living in
today's World. This song is intended to be the catalyst to help you survive.
"Turn it up and push on through." When your down don't ever stop, put on a
little Reggae Rock. Leftee played the Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Vocals. Raul
played percussion guitar. Big R played the Lead Guitar. Martin Sheehan (Session
Musician) played the Drums.
Pyroclastic Flow / Roots Rock Reggae
-
(Pyroclastic by Big R & Leftee, Roots Rock by Bob Marley)
2007
A Pyroclastic Flow is burnin' through your
town.
A Cloud of Fire and Ash is going to run you
down, to the ground.
This a reggae music, this a reggae music, jam
it out now.
Hey Mr. Music you sure sound good to me.
I can't refuse it, what to be got to be.
I feel like dancing, dance cause we are free.
Feel like dancing, come dance with me.
Roots Rock Reggae, this a reggae music.
Roots Rock Reggae, this a reggae music.
A Pyroclastic Flow is burnin' through your
town.
A Cloud of Fire and Ash is going to run you
down, to the ground.
This a reggae music, this a reggae music, jam
it out right yea!
Notes: This song is a combination of the
Marley Classic Roots, Rock, Reggae and the merging of a ThreePeace song called
Pyroclastic Flow. Geologists will tell you a Pyroclastic Flow is a volcanic discharge of fire and ash
when a volcano explodes. It travels across the ground at over 300mph, destroying
everything in it's path. This is used as a metaphor to warn us of the impending
biblical doom the world seems to be headed toward. The believers will be saved
"dance cause we are free". Leftee played the Drums, Bass Guitar,
Vocals. Raul played the Percussion Guitar. Big R played Rhythm and Lead Guitars.
Now I See -
(words and music by Leftee)
2007
Lost here in Life, caught in
motion.
Can't find a single parallel
emotion.
Set my mind on a distant goal.
Pull myself from out of the hole.
See the person I want to be,
Try to make it a reality now.
Now I see, I can rely on me.
This is the only way to be.
Others tie me down,
Can't get off the ground.
But I am not happy,
With that disturbing sound.
Believe you can be,
All you want to be.
Cause in reality,
It all comes down to me.
See the person I want to be,
Try to make it a reality now.
Now I see, I can rely on me.
This is the only way to be.
.......Oh yea! The only way to be
all right!
This is the only way to be, the
only way to be
All Right!!!!!
Notes: This song is a message to
stop relying on others and rely on yourself. Pilot your own ship with help from
the Creator of course. Leftee played the Drums, Rhythm Guitar, Vocals. Raul
played Rhythm Guitar. Big played the Lead Guitar and Rhythm Guitars.
Victim of Circumstance -
(Words and Music by Leftee, Big R)
2007
Just a victim of circumstance,
Lost my leg and my pants.
Just a victim of circumstance,
Lost my leg, Lost Romance.
Just another victim of
circumstance.
Driving down highway 880,
getting ready for the game.
Next thing I know,
The whole Worlds gone insane.
Cement falling down on me,
I can feel the earth all around
me.
Just a victim of circumstance,
Lost my leg and my pants.
Just a victim of circumstance,
Lost my leg, Lost Romance.
Just another victim of
circumstance.
Just a victim of circumstance,
pinned under the overpass.
Just an unlucky one,
Crushed beneath 5000 tons.
Died a painful death.
A bolder through my chest.
Dog sniffin' through all the
rubble,
Help me I'm trapped in a bubble.
Losing too much blood,
Soon I'll be in trouble.
Lord I hope someone finds me?
I Hope they take the trouble.
Just a victim of circumstance,
Lost my leg and my pants.
Just a victim of circumstance,
Lost my leg, Lost Romance.
Just another victim of
circumstance.
(Tribute to the Dead)
Notes: This song is written about
the San Francisco Earthquake of 1989. It is a sort of tongue in cheek humor.
The point of it is that this eternal optimist is trapped somewhere in the
rubble, or perhaps he is already in heaven on the other side looking back and
laughing. Tsunami victims must have felt very much the same thing. "What the
@#$%^"
One World (Not Three) -
(Words and Music by Sting)
(Ghost in the Machine) (1981)
One world is enough,
For all of us.
One world is enough,
For all of us.
It's a subject we rarely mention,
But when we do we have this little invention.
By pretending they're a different world from me,
I show my responsibility.
One world is enough,
For all of us.
One world is enough,
For all of us.
The third world breathes our air tomorrow.
We live on the time we borrow.
In our world there's no time for sorrow.
In their world there is no tomorrow.
One world is enough,
For all of us.
One world is enough,
For all of us.
Lines are drawn upon the world,
Before we get our flags unfurled
Whichever one we pick,
It's just a self deluding trick
One world is enough,
For all of us.
One world is enough,
For all of us.
I don't want to bring a sour note,
Remember this before you vote.
We can all sink or we all float,
'Cos we're all in the same big boat.
One world is enough
For all of us
One world is enough
For all of us
It may seem a million miles away
But it gets a little closer everyday
It may seem a million miles away
But it gets a little closer everyday
It may seem a million miles away
But it gets a little closer everyday
One world...
Notes: This song is a regular in
the bands live shows although this acoustic version is very different from the
live one. The live version much more resembles the Police version. This band
felt this song was even more relevant today then when it was recorded back in
1981.
Gone Away-
(Music By Big R, Lyrics by Leftee)
(2007)
Before We’re Gone Away,
Before We’re Gone Away.
Hey there people of distant lands,
Raise your white flags, Raise your
hands.
The Worlds in need of Brothers in
Arms.
Yes it’s time, to sound the Alarm.
Political Leaders, A losing cause.
I think it’s safe to say, “We’re the
Boss”.
The Worlds in need for Crying out
loud.
We’ve had enough of the Circus
Clowns.
Before We’re Gone Away,
Before We’re Gone Away.
Hey There Media Slime,
Dividing the World one more time.
Spewing your Rhetoric to a fever
Pitch.
See the man beheaded, then thrown in
a ditch.
Everything Immoral “Yes, that will
sell”!!
Transmitting messages straight from
hell.
The Power lies within your hands.
Now deliver us to the promise land.
Before We’re Gone Away,
Before We’re Gone Away.
Hey There President Bush,
All the World’s People are on the
hook.
Spreading your greed across the
globe.
While people are dying here at home.
The World’s in need of common sense,
Not another political fence.
The Bible says it will come to pass,
So take your foot from off the gas.
Before We’re Gone Away,
Before We’re Gone Away.
Notes: This song is a
collaboration between Leftee and Big R. The song was written as a catalyst for
real changes in our World. It seems the whole World is hell bent on destruction.
Think about your children before were "Gone Away". Should be something in there
for everyone. Amazing Jams by Big R. Leftee played the Drums, Vocals. Big R
played the Guitars and Bass Guitar.
